19 September 2012 - National Stadium, Warsaw, Poland

Alright, I'll try to say something constructive but it's really difficult as I'm still SO SO SO SO EXCITED I can't even believe it all actually happened!!! First of all, I knew it would be the best Coldplay gig ever but I did not realise it would be that BRILLIANT!!! I went to the Prague one with some other Polish Coldplayers and we had the Polish flag that said "SEE YOU SOON IN WARSAW". During ETIAW Chris saw it, just kneed next to us, winked, smiled and said "OH YESS!!"

And then in Warsaw... Oh my God, we were literally the loudest crowd EVER, I have seen Coldplay many times, and many other bands as well but I have never heard something like THIS!!! I know that Chris always says everyone's fucking amazing but this time, wow, he was literally saying something about the crowd every song, during playing songs, he couldn't even start singing some of them properly as we wouldn't let him! Everyone was screaming and singing so loudly that I can't believe it's even possible. My throat is as sore atm as it never was ANYWAY, when they played Warning Sign, Chris had our photo book on the piano!!!!!!! It was LITERALLY THE BEST MOMENT OF MY LIFE!!

Imagine Chris holding something with a letter YOU wrote, with the pictures of you, with artworks and photos of the people YOU know and you love... When I think they will see or have seen the video YOU WERE the part of... I can't find words to describe what an amazing feeling it is! We did have a special request, well, they didn't do it but I never actually thought they would. The photo book on the piano is everything I have ever dreamed of though. Best 2 hours of my life. [thanks lizoczka]

Unfortunately no surprise. We asked in our gift letter for Christmas Lights/LiT II, but they weren't playing it. It's was just unbelievable. I'm still smiling. Everybody in our hostel are sitting in the kitchen and talking about the show. I'll write my reviev and post some pictures tommorow, when I come back home. See you soon in Poland! (Chris kissed the floor ). I will try to write my review, but I'm not sure I can do it... I hope you like it.

Yesterday we woke up about 8:00 am. I had GA ticked, so I planed that we should go to the stadium about 10. My friend stared at me with WTF, but I said they don't have choice . In the morning there was sunny in Warsaw and I thought that maybe the weather will be ok (wasn't). We arrived about 10:20 and I was a bit surprised, because near our gate were only a few people. I got number 9. We talked with other guys and looked at the clouds which became more black... After my friends came few girls and funny Brazil's guys. They shouted and drinked beer in bottle from water. About 1 a.m. arrived more people and we wait and wait... At 3:30 everybody stood up and become more excited. Then 4 pm! And everybody just ruuuuun! Fortunately stewards work very fast. Ok, we are on the stadium and walk to the gates (don't run! - shout stewards). We got amazing place near X-stage. Now the hardest part of the day. 3 hours until first support. And it's raining... Charli XCX - not what I usually listen, but it's ok. Crew work very fast and then Marina appeard on the stage with retro look and Mowgli's Road, which I really like. She's very powerfull and makes me wanna dance (it's warmer too ). The asked as for scream very loud for Coldplay and we can hear power of Polish guys.

After Marina the stage is for Roadies, mostly one guy, who checked something and make people shout everytime he goes through X-stade. It's so close now... When we hear Jay-Z I realised what's happening. My God, I'm on Coldplay show. This song lasts forever for me... And yes! Back to the future! Lights, smokes and excitation in the air. I can see Chris, Will, Jonny and Guy, but I can't believe it's true. Mylo Xyloto and extra start of the Hurts Like Heaven. The stadium just blow up! I watched thoustands videos showing xylobands, but you just have to see it. I spin around and see the ocean of happy and amazed faces. Then In my place! How lovely song, with great crowd singing along. I turn my head up, jump, sing and try to catch this lovely confetti. Even "our" steward catched some . I'm feeling like a kid again.

Major Minus - I can see the power of guitars. Lovers in Japan with balloons and ocean of the confetti. Then just singing and having fun. My God. GPASUYF - who ever said Coldplay is boring and have only depressing sons? I don't see anyone. FUCK YEAH!!! When they're at X-Stage I can see them perfectly, how they play, talk for a while and how they love it. During Up in Flames Chris puts Polish Coldplayers album on the piano. I feel very proud to be Coldplayer and be Polish. Then the most exhausting part of the show. I don't know how can I jump and sing all the time. Amazing Viva, CB, Paradise and xylobands. I can't stop watching it. Uff, a little break. But the crowd don't stop and shout Coldplay! and sing Viva. Will singing in Warning Sign :hearts:. Amazing SoS. And I know time isn't on our side. Clocks, Fix You, Every Teardrop. You know what's going on. And I think how could I ever said that ETIAW is boring? Silly me. Chris raise Polish flag. And the end - so fast! No, don't go boys!

Then Chris kissed the floor and I'm sure they come back to Poland and I see them so many times! Now I come back home and still have problems, troubles but I feel so grateful. I really love Coldplay and all Coldplayers. <stop crying now!!! no, I can't> [thanks poky]

Yeach Fuck! I have just returned from the best gig in the world, the place could be indeed better (seats up), but at least you could see everything :). Most probably, I am pleased that in addition to hits such as Paradise, Every teartdrop is a waterfell sang my favorite-Yellow <3 Atmosphere fucking awsome like effects [glowing bracelet in the rhythm of the music (which zarąbałam hahah so mischivious, balloons, balls, confetti, etc]. Pity that there were no elephants, but whatever, I'm a transplanted E S LIW A. Unfortunately, I did not take the camera and my current phone does not have webcam (I know hard to believe), and my friend shook same movies and sweet foci was too dark. weather was, well, the way she was, it was cold, it was raining at the start, but a few faster songs and forgot about the weather: D. Before Coldplay performed Marina and The Diamonds and sang Primadonna Girl! And the mysterious Charlie, who fared very well. mainly Since fashion blog I'll write what I was wearing, so: blouse galaxy of tidelandu short little cardigan with lace mint new look, a very long warm sweater Orsay black asymmetrical skirt from New Look, a little shining shoes with studs of TKmax-in and on top of a very warm gray coat from zara :). Greetings to all fans of Coldplay ! [thanks Q.Aphrodite] http://queenaphroditefashion.blogspot.co.uk/2012/09/coldplay.html

Before Coldplay, Marina and the Diamonds the Welsh songstress and her band did a great job to warm the audience up for the Coldplay show. Coldplay came on at 21:00 to an expectant audience and they did not disappoint. I saw Coldplay at the heineken open’er last year and that was a great show but the difference last night was that this was ‘their’ show and so all the light show and effects were exactly as they wanted them. That included the wristbands distributed on entrance which lit up in an orgy of flashing colourful lights once the music started. They were controlled by radio signals and came of and on according to certain musical cues. Chris Martin immediately set to work on creating a raport with the audience and threw in ‘dziękuję’ and ‘dzięki’ (thank you and thanks in Polish) which delighted fans. The set was well thought out and a really flowing show starting with the sound of Mylo Xyloto. Chris Martin was full of energy, at times running along the T-shape extended cat-walk. So much so that within a few songs he was dripping beads of sweat onto the piano during “the scientist”. Photos from the gig Apart from the flashing wrist-bands there was confetti projected into the audience from around three cannons and at various points huge balloons and inflatables were released into the audience. I’m not sure if the small yellow balloons were not the idea of the fans because Chris Marting commented after “Yellow” – ‘I like the balloons’.

A really great touch was the fact that at the ‘end’ the group left the stage with the audience roaring for more and then appeared in the middle of the fans on the pitch on a small stage to play “Us Against The World” and “Speed of Sound”. The only complaint is the acoustics of the stadium which from our position was such an issue that at times it was difficult to hear the words (and in Coldplay’s set the words are pretty important). Maybe the sound is good if you are on the floor in front of the stage but the main issue is the echo from the back of the stadium which seems to affect those in the seats in the middle of the stadium at each side. The options are to either put baffle boards hanging from the roof to soak up that sound or (and I suspect this is the more practical solution short-term) find out if the floor area is better and go there. I’d be interested to get comments on this. Acoustics aside, (that was nothing to do with Coldplay) I would recommend going to a Coldplay concert because of the sheer professionalism of the show – the atmosphere, the music and affinity of the band with fans. So here it goes as promised. We arrived around 9 am and hang around the stadium but you don't want to read that so I'll focus on the concert. Charli was quite good but Marina was really great. She did a wonderful job warming up the audience and her performance was energetic and pleasant. I loved how she said something like "Coldplay is in the dressing room right now so let's welcome them shouting as loud as you can". I understand now why they choosed her to be a support cause she really fits the job. As to Coldplay...

Every song was perfect. During the previous gig I was more like hm... emotional and moved but this time I was just having fun and the Xylotour really gave me the best one of my life. Plus all those effects they used... I loved the fireworks and the confetti. The second one was of course during LiJ and IMP. I've seen many of those concerts when/where they use the confetti but it never looked as astonishing as then. It was literally everywhere. EVERYWHERE. Some even said they had it their mouth so they couldn't sing, lol. It's something you have to see with your own eyes. One of the most beautiful things I've ever experienced. It was like a huge, bright rain full of colours and joy. What could equal that were of course the xylobands. I was in the first row so I was surprised when I turned around and saw the whole stadium glowing. What an epic idea, it's undescribable.

I was more on the Jonny side. I'm even like 95% sure that he winked to me and my friend. Then he smiled when we were shouting "Jonnyyyyyyyyyyy!!!". Then there was something with Guy or Chris, but I don't remember that well. No Will action, tough. PoC was great live. I know some people hate it but this song was one of the most powerful. I greatly enjoyed it. Will singing was great as always. I love Him behind the piano, pad, guitar or anything else so we can watch him properly not just hidden behind all the drums. You already know about the album, but someone said that he has my drumsticks, I mean, the one I made for Him that were with the rest of the presents. But it was probably just a gossip.

DLIBYH was as great as I expected. Really. Gave me so much P O W E R. UATW was again one of the best and most touching of the night. And also once again, ETIAW was great as an outro. I left my place when the encore started because there was a quite low man behind me and he had trouble seeing the show I think. I went to the back because it was quite calmly at the front and I had to dance everything out of me. Anyway that would be it for the concert I think you're waiting for the other thing.

Everyone started shouting "SETLIST SETLIST SETLIST" once the guys left the stage and I was a little confused. Mr. Roadie said he didn't have any and probably there are none left so I said them "Chill out people" but they kept yelling "SETLIST SETLIST SETLIST" so I went somewhere else. I stumbled upon my friend and wanted to have a photo with her and the guard because he was such a cute cute cute cute bear. But then, a polish technician threw something off the stage. I was confused but what else I could do I just grabbed it. Just imagine my shock. WOW it was a towel! I always wanted a thing like that because I kept reading about people winning meetings with the band or just really stumbling upon them on the street or making them sign something or receiving something from the roadies. But it was me this time. Finally. I asked him whose towel it was but he didn't know. But he indeed threw it being in the front of the stage so I'm pretty sure it was Jonny's or Chris'. I was holding it very tight so no one could approach me and tear it out and I was just running around the area of the stadium because I couldn't believe it. Then my friend came to me. Sha said: OH MY GOD YOU WON'T BELIEVE IT. I said: YOU WON'T BELIEVE IT TOO. And she said she got the drumstick. It was really a long way to get it but she did. She knew how much Will means to me and she told me she wants to give it to me. I was really speechless. I hugged her very very tight and told her that I have a present for her too. She was so happy when I told her what happened.

When I think of it now... it was really one of the best moments. I remember when we wanted to meet the guys because there were some competitions in which the main reward was meet&greet or something like that. And there we are. Maybe we couldn't meet them, talk with them, but we managed to take out more than just memories from the show. After a few steps we stumbled upon the president of Alter Art - the organization which organises concert (for example HOF 2011 - first Coldplay concert, and this as well). We showed him what we got and thanked him. I told him that those concerts are the dreams come true and how Coldplay made me start my journey with bands and music. We shook his head and greeted and he said something I would translate as: "til the next time". I hope he consciously chose vocabulary and we'll be able to see Coldplay soon. That's about my story of that epic night. Thank You for reading. [thanks The Champion]

19 September 2012 - National Stadium, Warsaw, Poland (Photo: cgm.pl)

topguitar.pl (translated): "Is There Anybody Out There?" - Shouted from the stage Chris Martin shortly after the first song. He said he packed the National Stadium. Moments later, we heard from his lips a perfect "good evening" and "thank you" and to ensure that this will be the best concert of the tour. I was!

Coldplay was on stage more than a half hour. Polish audience heard the 21 tracks. It's a fixed number of branches during the European tour. Most tracks - 10 came from the album, "Mylo Xyloto" was also strongly represented in exactly a decade ago released album "A Rush Of Blood To The Head". Six other tracks are fragments debut and two previous albums, "X & Y" and "Viva La Vida".

The show started five minutes after 21 o'clock on the part of the theme of Chris Martin's favorite movie - "Back to the Future". Then smooth transition thumbnail "Mylo Xyloto" and, finally, the first song of the evening, the current single "Hurts Like Heaven". In the first set consisted of nine recordings, including giant hits "Yellow" and "The Scientist" and I think all possible live effects - fireworks, giant balls, colored confetti, lasers. Everything in fluorescent colors so firmly associated with the promotion of her fifth album, the British. After forty minutes, the team moved to a smaller stage forward into the audience and intoned, "Princess Of China" featuring, albeit virtual, involving Rihanna. When "Warning Sign" Chris sat down at the piano and the other musicians accompaniment along with acoustic guitars to finally leave him alone in the light of a headlamp. Not for long, because I was about to begin the first of three climactic moments of the evening - made one after the other songs "Viva La Vida", "Charlie Brown" and "Paradise" with how nice the heart of all the Polish fans sung the phrase "I do ' t wanna leave Warsaw ". In light of the tens of thousands of so-called. Xylobands completed the first part of the concert.

Two minutes break and the team once again greeted the audience. Acoustic "Us Against The World", "Speed of Sound" and "has always been laser '" Clocks "prolonged expected for months, minutes from Coldplay.

And finally the final. Sublime "Fix You" and ending with the performance of "Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall" sung by the entire stadium, and then odtańczone by Martin with the Polish flag in his hand. Greetings and compliments, this time in the light of ordinary headlights. Xylobands migrate into pockets and purses of fans as the best souvenir of an unusual concert. Concerto, which I think everyone brought a surprise due to the fact that with such a gigantic production and has already lasted almost a year tour, Coldplay musicians still manages to retain the most important thing - a natural contact with the audience and the joy of playing. This shortening of the distance on the line team - the fans and the generally positive attitude carried over to the audience that the National Stadium happier if they went out. Warsaw was the penultimate concert of the European tour. Subsequent performances are waiting Coldplay in November in Australia, and that is when the sum of all participants concerts performed during the promotion of "Mylo Xyloto" exceeds the magical barrier of 2 million people. It is a great joy for us that we could be a part of it. [2]
