I see that you posted some of my pictures/videos already, you're even faster that I am A few words on the show before going to bed (i'll try to give more details later): AMAZING SHOW ! I know I may not be really objective but I think it was better than last night. -We had Green Eyes, we had Green Eyes, we had Green Eyes !!! I need to write it down because I still can't believe it. At the very begining when Chris talked about a poll I thought it was maybe for Trouble, I wasn't expecting Green Eyes !! This song made me cry, really good to hear it again ! -I was really close to the C Stage, it was awesome! I ran as fast as I can when they left the stage but they left before I got to the back door (which is at the front of the TD Garden actually). The show started 15min earlier than yesterday so I guess they had a flight to take or something. They left in an SUV. -Met some very nice people from different countries outside and that was really cool ! Definitely want to see them again, Paris cannot be my last show !! That was an amazing show tonight (now technically last night), and I thought it was THE best concert I've ever been to! The opening acts were great, and the show portion was freaking unreal! I loved that Chris gave us a choice on whether they should play Warning Sign or Green Eyes (because of the Celtics), and everyone overwhelmingly chose Green Eyes! I wish I could post my pics, but I don't have access to my computer right now, so I'll have to do it in the morning. I also got the whole night recorded as audio (except most of HLH got cut off, sadly), but it doesn't sound good, when it gets to the parts when the bass kicks in. It sounds like the speakers are blown, but at least I have it! If anybody wants it, be sure to PM me. [thanks YellowTeardrops13]

OMG WHAT A SHOW. easily the BEST concert in my life. 1st time seeing the boys but it WILL NOT be my last, that's for sure! The lights, lasers, and confetti! Tried to wait for someone to com out, but then the staff at the Garden said to leave the area. Cannot wait for next time! [thanks MXHLH]

So, I never do a concert review or any sort of reflection after I see a show and believe me I’ve been to so many but after last night, I think I owe just that to Coldplay for their incredible, unreal, beautiful show at the TD Garden last night in Boston. I’ve Been listening to Coldplay for the past 8 years of my life, they’ve been my favorite band for as long as I can remember. I still remember the first time I heard one of their songs, it was “Clocks” when it first came out off their smash album “A Rush of Blood to the Head” and two years later I started to really get into them. Seeing them in concert last night was unreal and felt like a dream.

Coldplay’s Mylo Xyloto Tour rolled into Boston on July 29th, for a two night stand in the mecca of New England, I got the pleasure of going to arguably the better night which was July 30th. Chris Martin frontman of the band told the crowd after finishing the opening song, “Hurts Like Heaven”, “Twenty years from now, when we’re asked what our favorite show we ever played was, I would love to say that it was Boston on a Monday night in 2012” They immediately smashed into their 2002 hit “In My Place”. In addition to Coldplay’s wild, trippy light show that has been apart of their show since their tour back in 2002, A unique glowing wristband, cleverly named the “Xyloband” was introduced to fans for their current tour as a way to get their fans to feel as if they were part of the show, and also as a promotional item for their upcoming “Coldplayfilm”which rumor has it was filmed a few nights ago in Montreal.

The Mylo Xyloto tour is one of a kind, I cannot compare it to anything i’ve ever seen. It was a colorful blend of music, light and sound and a one of a kind show, They smashed through some of their biggest hits as well as moved around the arena, including an acoustic set in the Loge are of the arena far beyond the stage. They managed to bring the crowd on a journey through music in just under an hour and a half. It almost felt like time travel, cleverly enough they opened the beginning of the show with the playing of the “Back to The Future” theme. I believe overall Coldplay proved themselves to be among the world’s greatest bands last night with a breathtaking show that I and the some 20,000 others in attendance with me last night experienced. Coldplay was so incredible live…. I’ve only seen that much energy in very few other bands….Muse, Foo Fighters, Bush & U2 are comparable. The setlist was perfect. Dunno how unique this is, but Chris wouldn’t stop saying how Boston this time around is one of the best/most responsive crowds he’s played to, and how he hopes to one day answer “Who’s the best place you’ve played to” with “Boston on a Monday night in 2012”. The band just seemed to be really happy last night. They also played “Green Eyes” in place of “Warning Sign” to switch it up for their second show.

I was so excited throughout the whole show. Knew every song. Confetti from the beginning, 3 stages, balloons, and not to mention to Xylobands everyone got that lit up in sync at certain times during songs. Most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen at a show. My favorite parts of the show had to be “Charlie Brown”, “Up in Flames”, and I loved the power they used on songs like “God Put a Smile on Your Face” and “Violet Hill”. Such a good time. So I have no idea how to start this page but it’ll be long and I’m apologizing for that beforehand and so anyways that was the best night in existense and I’ll start from the beginning okay here we go. So I went to my friend’s house in the morning and we finished our awesome shirts for the concert.

So the concert was at the TD Garden and we got to Boston at like 3 ish I can’t remember I was too excited and distracted but we ate and then went to the Garden. The line actually wasn’t too long when we got there suprisingly since it was like 5:30 by the time we got in line and the doors opened at 6 and the shows stared at 7. So we waited and it seemed like 80498203802 years because I wanted to scream from excitement. So I finally got my Xyloband and I’m f**king in love with it and here it is it’s my new love:

I bought a poster, a shirt, a button, and a tour booklet and they were kind of pricey but YOLT I bought them. We got to out seats which were in the balcony and the view wasn’t too bad except we couldn’t see the C stage too well. This guy comes up to us and he introduces himself and shakes my hand. And his name was Dan Green. FUCKING DAN GREEN, Coldplay’s sound enginner(he’s interviewed in the tourbooklet) and he asks us(with his absolutely lovely English accent) if we like our view. My friend and I said yes, and he ask if it could better. So my friend, out of fucking shock I think, said she didn’t know and I was like “YES DAN GREEN YES THEY CAN” and he said if we know why Coldplay doesn’t sell the first three rows of the venue, and I answered that it was for fans who didn’t have the best seats. He also commented that he loved my friend’s nails which had “Mylo Xyloto” on them and they were wicked awesome. He then takes out this giant ass stack of tickets and tells my friend to read what it said, and she read them and said row TWO. He said we could have them as long as we could pick any Coldplay song and sing at least one line. Dan Green decided that his Converse needed to be tied a.k.a our chance to pick a song. And I couldn’t think of one(I was screaming inside and couldn’t think straight okay). Like I know all of their songs, but the only one I knew at the moment was Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall. So we sang that and he GAVE US THE TICKETS AND WE GOT FUCKING ROW TWO HOLY SH*T. I though we were being pranked for a half hour and omfg I thanked him 428980 times and he said we didn’t need to thank him. YES WE DO DAN GREEN YOU’RE MY NEW FAVORITE PERSON I LOVE HIM.

And then we were like flipping shit and trying to find our seats and we had to ask like 3 people I think but then we finally got there and it was amazing. So we waited what seemed like 42 billion hours and Emili Sande (idk if I spelled her name right) came on and she was really good( except I didn’t know any of her songs) and Marina And The Diamonds was wicked awesome too and she gives me some hope in pop music now which is good. AND THEN THEY PLAYED 99 PROBLEMS AND BACK TO TEH FUTURE SONG AND THEN COLDPLAY CAME ON AND OH MY F**KING GOD THEY WERE SO AMAZING IT WAS THE BEST THING EVER. I was so close to Jonny oh my f**king god look I was like 10-15 feet away from him. And then there’s will having his own little jam session aw he’s so cute.

It was the night of ships: I saw Buckin, Berrytin, Martion, Chris and his chair, Chris and the floor, and Will and his bell for Viva. And the Viva chant was so cool and I got a video of it. But omg Chris was so adorable and he messed up at the end of Violet Hill and said “aw f**k” and I swear that was more adorable than a million kittens and puppies together it was so cute. And they played Green Eyes. OMG I SCREECHED(again during ETIAW) it was such a good Buckin song and it was just great.

I’m 92% sure I saw Phil standing in an exit because I saw red hair and it looked just like him and he kept standing there and I don’t think someone normal could so that so I’m just saying it was Phil. When the band was at the C stage we all sang Happy Birthday to Will and it was so cute. I got a sh*t ton of confetti which I will be posting later after I iron them (no judging that’s what the cool kids do and I want them to look nice once I frame some of them with my ticket so shhhh). I think I cried during Fix You or I was really close because that song gives me too many feelings and sighs it was just stunning. When we were leaving someone dropped their VIP pass and it was the floor so I took it shhh. [thanks Christine][4]

Boston Music Spotlight: The line “with great power comes great responsibility” may be overused, but it’s apparent when it comes to Coldplay. The English foursome is without a doubt one of the biggest bands in the world, which means they’re a major draw for fans, but also for criticism. Their latest album, Mylo Xyloto, which they’ve been touring in support of since last year, only received mixed reviews. However, at their stop at Boston’s TD Garden on Sunday night they left no doubt that they deserve to be amongst the biggest acts in the world with a grand performance before a sold-out crowd.

Energy and creativity fuel Coldplay’s current show. The energy started with frontman Chris Martin, who performed like a man who’s been trapped behind a piano for years, dying to get out. The singer explored every bit of the band’s extensive stage and catwalk, by running, jumping, rolling, and dancing his way through show. The creativity came in the form of the ingenious idea to make fans part of the visual dynamic of the show by issuing every attendee a colored wristband that lit up in unison at certain points of the performance. The result was a dazzling display that charged songs like “Hurts Like Heaven”, “Paradise”, and “Charlie Brown”. Their set was heavy on new material, such as the aforementioned trio, all of which both looked and sounded like they were built for arenas thanks to the stunningly colorful imagery and big, sing-along choruses.

They’ve certainly added some new tricks, but Coldplay also stayed true to their old ways with confetti cannons, huge balloons, and several stages, as they relocated to the end of the catwalk to take the tempo down a bit. Included was the ballad “Warning Sign”, which Martin amusingly screwed up then jokingly claimed that thoughts of the Olympics had distracted him. The band also relocated, one by one, to a side stage in the loge section of the Garden for one of the few X & Y tunes in “Speed of Sound”, before returning to the main stage for the encore. The night ended in spectacular fashion as a laser show accompanied the usual piano bench-rocking of “Clocks” before Martin seemed to give everything he had left to his leaps in “Fix You”, only to go at it once more as he ran about the entire stage for closer “Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall”.

Coldplay have had the power of one of music’s biggest acts for years and with this show so well-catered to an arena audience, they’ve shown that they’ve not only accepted, but are enjoying the responsibility. Rising star Marina and the Diamonds opened the show with a charming set that drew many fans in early with bouncy synthpop numbers like “I Am Not a Robot” and “Primadonna” serving as warm-ups before finally getting fans out of their seats with “Radioactive”. Blast Magazine: British alt-rock stars Coldplay arrived in Boston last night with a bang, playing the first of their back-to-back sold out shows at the TD Garden. Touring on their latest album, Mylo Xyloto, the band started the night off with newer tracks before delving into classics like “In My Place”, “The Scientist”, and “Clocks”.

More than the music, Coldplay stunned the audience with a spectacle. Confetti shaped like butterflies, hearts, birds, and crowns blasted into the air as the set began and continued to permeate the arena through the night. Before the show, each audience member was given a free wristband, which lit up and flashed in time with the music. Beach balls, confetti, and an incredible light show all combined to create an unforgettable evening. [6]
