I don't know how I managed to get the second row considering that even if I queued up from 6.20 am there were already a hundred people in front and then many more passed me by on the way to the main stage (which was more or less 1Km from the entrance), add that a few people were already there before anyone else and you get the picture and how I could be more than happy with where I was. I couldn't wait to to hear the new songs live, and they were even better than listening to them from the Rock Am Ring, I'm so in love with Charlie Brown. Best moments where Politik (as always, it's my favourite song and it never fails to be amazing) and Life is for Living, the live version is epic and I was on the verge of crying cause I've always wanted to hear it live. I'm quite happy with the audience reaction to the new songs and old as well, Every Teardrop included. So the gig was great, and Chris was in top form with his voice, he sang better than last week for what I could hear. Still I have a feeling they were not that into it, or not as much as in Germany, maybe they were expecting more people (I was too to be honest, but the period and the other headliners were a shame and a lot of people decided to wait for the proper tour), add to that the fact they probably were more looking at the clock to be sure they were not missing the flight (and I don't understand why on earth they had a flight so close to the end of the show, I can understand they prefer to go back to London, but jeez, I don't think it's the end of the world if they stayed overnight at then flew to The Netherlands). I don't know if it's because I waited for so long to see them playing in my hometown and I wanted them to feel like at home and that everything was perfect for both us and them, but I have this bittersweet feeling that it wasn't as much fun for them and this gig is waaay down in their virtual "best gigs" list, Guy was basically not even there, they could have put up a cardboard figure of him and it would have been the same, and who knows me well is aware that it's not easy for me to say this. Yay for my negative side, it's alive again!
Just reading around tough, as much as the people really enjoyed the gig, almost everyone was let down by how they didn't even say goodbye at the end. I've read the blog and I saw it was just because they had to catch the flight, but 99,9% of the people there didn't, so I can totally understand how they tought the band was coming back again, especially because we stayed there for other 5 minutes trying to calling them back even when the lights were already switched on and the roadies were on already on stage. I was in the second row and saw Chris taking a mic and say something just when he was going away but the sound was switched off and no one heard anything, not even us there in the front, so yeah it was a bit of a meh moment to end the gig like this[iriden]
hj there. I'm in front row dead center as always with francesco. I'm fucking sick. But i keep on living after 1km run and the achievement of my position. Wtf, i'll resist
........
Hi there everybody. I'm fucking destroyed. 16 hours waiting for coldplay. 1 km run. Front row dead center achieved. Ill and sick. Wtf. It was incredible. But it was a nice gig.
I really like Hurts like Heaven, UATW, Major M and Charlie B.
God put a smile was AWESOME. I rocked as always during Politik (WTF, thanks coldplay for having given to us this wonderful piece of music)
I cried for Life is for Living, and it's the second time I cry for coldplay. It was ASTRONOMICAL. Thanks again Phil for listening to us.
The most beautiful moments were when Will was greeting to me at the beginning of the gig, or when Chris pointed me cause I was not singing ETIAW, then I started sing it (Sorry guys, but I cannot love that song )
But the greatest one was during Life is for Living. Really guys. It was one of the best moment of my entire life. I was so full of joy. (even if there was such a poor number of people singing during that, what a shame)
Anyway, now I'm at home, more ill and sick, but happy for having seen them again. I'm a little bit disappointed for the length of the concert, for the fact that Glass of Water was took away and for the classical Italian disorganization. But well, it was a festival. And yep, as always, I'll never stop hoping in a full band return for Shiver. Not only half the band as I heard in Liverpool and Newcastle (epic howewer..)
Here from Italy, happy for being on the live photoblog again, for the 4th time, goodbye everybody, see u soon guys.

Hallo everyone, I have a sitting place between two barriers, which is absolutely perfect for me, because I'm pregnant and can't risk to be pushed by the crowd. And I'm closer to the stage than I thought I might get! Echo and the Bunnyman playing now.

Hello everyone! ^ I'm late too, because I came back home today after a little "tour" around Venice Nice pic! Anyway, I will only say that as my first Coldplay concert I really had a great time, but since I can't compare it to any other, I can't even say how the band really felt... They played and sang perfectly, insted of the Rock am Ring show, for example, so I was pretty happy for it! Sadly, I arrived quite late, it was 5.30 pm, so I didn't manage to get close to the stage as I wished, but thanks to the big screens I saw, more or less, the band... The lights were amazing, the balls too, luckily it didn't rain as it had been expected to (yay! ) and it wasn't even too hot, so it wasn't hard to stand in the middle of the crowd for 6 hours. I loved all the songs, the new ones are wonderful, all of them! The best moments were God Put A Smile Upon Your Face, Politik, Life Is For Living and Fix You... I sang continuously, many didn't even remember the title of Life Is For Living! Actually I didn't sing a lot during this one because... I needed to contemplate it, especially the astounding ending! I couldn't believe I was attending such a beyond-the-universe performance! Neither I can now! Time flew away too fast, when it finished I felt like I hadn't truly lived it... Although I even filmed some songs (awful videos, the audio is terrible)! A nice moment was during Yellow, everyone was singing so loud the... second stanza? Well, Chris didn't sing and just confirmed it: "Yes!", and smiled It reminded me an interview where they said that Italians are sing soooo much during their shows, differently from Japanese who usually remain quiet As I've already said, I can't judge how it exactly was, but it seemed a great show to me, although maybe the band were a little in a hurry... Let's wait for the LP5 tour! Guys, come back to Italy soon!
As regarding to the organization, it was awful... If I had a lot of trouble in arriving there not too late, the lack of parking lots only worsened the situation... And I saw one bus only prearranged for the festival... But in the end, it was still a great experience to go there!
Edit: I strangely didn't cry, maybe because I couldn't see them very well... But I often felt shivers down my spine and had glistening eyes, and I remember at the first chorus of In My Place a shed an only tear because the lyrics "How long must you wait for it?" reminded me of those 3 years I had to wait before seeing them... And other personal stuff too
