Tappin Gofton is a graphic design duo consisting of Mark Tappin and Simon Gofton. They are best known for their ambiguous cover for the Coldplay album X&Y and their 1960s-style cover for The Chemical Brothers' album Push the Button. They also designed the cover for Morning Runner's debut album, Wilderness Is Paradise Now and The Feeling's debut Twelve Stops and Home.

It's not one guy; it's two and they are work related yes. Mark Tappin and Simon Gofton are the combined talents that make up the graphic design team Tappin Gofton.
Blue Source, where Mark worked, used to design Coldplay's record sleeves. When he left he joined forces with Simon to create Tappin Gofton and together they now do design projects for the band.
